"Ann Coulter was asked by USA Today to write a series of columns about the Democratic convention, but she couldn't even get one into print before she was fired. The official reason was "basic weaknesses in clarity and readability."

My immediate thought: how lame do you have to be to be fired by USA Today for poor writing?

There are a large number of conservative commentators who are literate, but Ann Coulter isn't one of them. I ready the first five pages of one of her books (layover in Dallas), and I was pleased to see that she's a piss-poor writer by even the current standard.
