The week of not sleeping well

This cold has kicked my butt. I'm not feeling run down much now, but I'm still sneezing and coughing. I was awake coughing for a good chunk of the night, and then had an early-morning dream that involved being in a small convention center for what was billed as an entertainment extravaganza complete with guests (such as the professional actors in oversize Bert and Ernie costumes). But it actually was a Thunderdome setup where half the people were set up to kill each other while the other half safely watched. The wife and I were in the to-be-killed half because the organizer didn't like us, but someone had intervened and put us behind the plexiglass with the murder-porn watchers.

There wasn't much actual violence in the dream, although I do remember seeing Bert and Ernie give each other appalled Muppet open-mouth looks when they realized they were about to die. Anyway, I woke up tired from that.

Nobody should apologize for laughing at the image. I remembered it from the dream precisely because of the incongruity.

I am sorry for the sleep issues; have been there too many times. But it was the Bert and Ernie piece that put me over the edge.

I'm sorry. I laughed out loud. But I probably would have woken up feeling disoriented.
