Yowl Be Sorry

madbakerThe past few days Galen has been yowling loudly and incessantly at early hours of the morning. We don't know why: he has food, his litter box is clean (unless he's used it recently), and he's not throwing up.
The only thing we can figure out is that he wakes up, sees that there's no one else in the room with his bed, and gets confused separation anxiety. But in that case usually he'll shut up when one of us yells his name. The last few days, the only thing that helps is one of us waking up, getting him, and holding him for a snuggle. But he doesn't want to be snuggled in our bed, so he'll restart when we try to get back to sleep.
Sheesh - he sleeps 20 hours a day, so you'd think he'd respect the few hours we get. Life with an older cat.
