I tried making [livejournal.com profile] albionwood's Yummy Spiced Chicken last night for the weekly homeowners' meeting. It lived up to its name! Well, 2/3 of it, anyway - it needed more spicing. I substituted creme fraiche for the sour cream, and increased the garlic (of course). I also used crushed tomatoes instead of the tomato juice.

The final dish came out quite liquid, perhaps because I substituted wine for the sherry. In future I'll leave that out. Still, I served it over rice to sop up the juice and that worked quite well!

Interesting. I am hoping to get to it this Friday for date night ... how much more garlic did you add? <g> I am just curious, because I'm not a great cook ... but I figure I should be able to do this one.

I doubled the garlic. It didn't taste garlicky even at that level.
