Secret Agent, Man

This early morning's dream involved me being a novice villain, planning out the design of my evil lair. Sadly I wasn't on a volcanic island - it was more a suburban office park. There were other villains in the same compound, so there was a bit of competition to design the best/most efficient lair for each assigned space. This was complicated by me having started a new relationship (with a non-villain), and the girlfriend was coming over regularly. So I was trying to balance out traps and other security measures for my limited area, while wanting her to have easy access. But I knew that a secret door directly to my control center was a guaranteed vulnerability for the first inevitable secret agent to infiltrate.

Much of the dream that I remember was me trying to plot out a maze on graph paper for the entrance to maximize traps, while trying to figure out how to not inconvenience the girlfriend visits. I didn't come to a resolution before I woke up.

Apropos of little, my mother told me that when she was in high school and the song was popular (from the show, of course), she thought it was "Secret Asian Man". I mean, she was born in SF and raised on the peninsula, so it tracks.

To this day, my brain supplies the necessary substitution and that's all I hear/see/and sometimes say.

Delightful dream! I love when they are this detailed and involved and then memorable.

It made me wonder if you'd had a chance yet to read Hench. It was somewhat clever, engaging and enjoyable.

I did read Hench some time back. I enjoyed it, and thought it avoided many of the obvious tropes.
