Slaving over a hot stove all day...
Oct. 5th, 2003 05:13 pmI tried to take off a finger yesterday (fortunately I failed) so I had to put off a few things until today. This made for a long, but productive, day.
Starting at 8:30 AM, I cooked:
-2 loaves of bread (which went into lunch: BLTs with tomatoes fresh off the vine and lettuce from our Victory Garden. Yum)
-a beet/chocolate cake
-a batch of onion jam, which also had to get canned
-a gigantic batch of red sauce, still burbling away.
Dawn was sweet enough to massage my aching feet. Without prompting. Love you!
