Continuing along the theme of a recent post, a poll. Pick any or all that apply.

Most are from their names: Harri is "Harri-man" and "Scary Harri," Patrick is "Trick," "Tricky" and "Trickidee," Tessie is "Tessie-Tess," and Kylie gets "Kylie-Koh." But Patrick is also "Me-Too" because if you call any cat, he comes running, and both he and Kylie are called "Chowhound." Harri gets "Old Man" these days, too.

Thing is...do you sing to your cats? Harri gets "Harriman" (to the tune of Lollipop) and "Harri" (to the tune of Sherry by the 4 Seasons). He also gets "Squirecat" but that's a different whole thing. Patrick gets "Patrick" (to the tune of the theme from Flipper), Tessie, of course, gets "Tessie" by the Dropkick Murphys, and Kylie gets "Kylie-koh-ko" to the tune of La Cucaracha.

I sing to my cats. My last cat was named Pippin, from the show for which I was stage manager at the time I acquired her. She got the "Think about your life, Pippin! Think about the dreams you planned." song at her constantly. When I was away for three months on a business trip (left her with Stephen & Angelica, my roommates), I came back and she treated me like any random stranger until I sang the song. That she remembered, apparently.
