On the drive in this morning, I had an idea blossom for how to start The Divided Kingdom. It solves an issue that aastg and I hadn't agreed how to address, sets some characterization, and provides information without using Captain Exposition.

Now to work on more than just the opening.

True. However, we don't have the overall structure completely set yet, so this cart is before the horse. Still worth writing down, though.
