throttling back my fanboy tendencies

One of my cow-orkers watched the first half hour of The Two Towers recently, and was describing it:

"So I got to the point where those three dudes are surrounded by these guys on horses, and..."

I forcibly stopped myself from leaping out of the chair, grabbing him by the shirt, and shouting "It's the riders of Rohan, you idiot! The three dudes, they're named..."

Ahem. Bad for the corporate image.

Yeah, that's part of it - I don't work in a technical job. Who knew they had those in Silicon Valley? But while I may be the only SF fan here, I'm certainly not the only Tolkien fan.

'course, I may be the only one here who read the books at the age of 7. (And 8. And 9. And...)
