I’ve been driving the Mustang to work this week – it’s been hot enough that I’ll trade having air conditioning for the crappy gas mileage. The odd thing is that I actually prefer driving the Saturn wagon.
The Mustang is cushier, better sound system, lots more pickup... but I know the dimensions of the Saturn better, I’m more comfortable driving it, and I can parallel park it more easily. I’ve driven the wagon longer (we’ve had it since 1995 and it’s always been my primary vehicle) and this is probably the main reason. Although I drove the Mustang for six months when Dawn started school, and nothing really changed.
I don’t buy the “what you drive reveals your personality” marketing hype.
Really.
It doesn't make me feel insecure at all.
